The working principle of the piston valve
Many small partners are no strangers to piston valves. In fact, a product is widely used in various industries, such as large-scale machinery and equipment in factories or small air pumps. So, what are the functions of the piston valve? How does it work?
The piston valve is different from the butterfly valve and the gate valve. The function of the butterfly valve and the gate valve is to cut off the pipeline, while the piston valve is a unique valve that can meet various special adjustment requirements. Simply put, this piston valve relies on a piston-like cylinder to achieve the corresponding effect by making it move axially in the valve cavity.
The working principle of the piston valve is that when the water flow enters the shell of the valve through an axial arc, no matter what position the piston is in, the corresponding water flow section of all positions in the valve cavity will show a ring shape. We can also see that the axis shrinks at the outlet, so that the damage to the valve body and the corresponding pipeline due to cavitation caused by throttling can be avoided. At the same time, its adjustment characteristic is linear, and its corresponding standard size is DN150 to DN1200.
